The Woodbury Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the upkeep and operation of more than 40 park areas throughout the city. These park areas account for about 3,000 acres of land which also have a total of about 100 miles of trails. These trails are ideal for skiing in the winter or hiking and biking during the warmer months. Central Park is one of the premier parks in the city and it is usually the gathering place for community events. It has an indoor park area which is ideal for receptions, weddings, company meetings and special events. It also has dozens of trees, miniature cliffs, a stream and even a 16-foot waterfall. The Woodbury Area Hockey Club, or WAHC, is dedicated to helping young people interested in the sport work on their skills and become better players in an encouraging atmosphere. The club typically meets and plays at the Bielenberg Sports Center which is located at 4125 Radio Drive. The facility has two indoor ice rinks as well as skate rental, referee rooms, team rooms, concessions and even seating for spectators.
